******Sorry! Didn't realize I didn't tell you why I needed the blue hot cocoa. I do seasonal tea parties and didn't do one for Christmas this year, so...I am having a Winter Tea. My colors are blue/white/silver. Not everyone I invited is into tea, so I always have a back up beverage or two. Hot cocoa is perfect for my winter tea. I am serving food that only is white/blue. LOL I know some people have an aversion to white food, but no problem here. I am borrowing some ideas from my dear friend, Lori and some recipes from her as well because she is into tea just like me. She just had a winter tea in December.
So, I'll have to let you all know after the 28th how it turns out. Today I bought some clear glass pillar vases, some silver confetti, and some cookies 'n' cream Hershey kisses that have blue/silver wrappers and white chocolate inside. Perfect. I'm also using some printed tissue paper as part of my table "linens" and I found the perfect blue plates on clearance from Target. The only downside is they are paper, but I will make it a little less formal than I normally do (usually it is only china/crystal). I also found a good square blue bowl and plate set also on clearance (98 cents and $1.98!!). Yankee Candle is having their clearance sale and I found 3 white/silver snowflake candle plates for $1 each (I use them for anything) and some "North Pole" peppermint-scented white votives (6 for $5). It is coming together.
BTW...I'm having a fire and ice couple's party for Valentine's Day. I think this is an original idea. I'll tell you more details if you are interested. Oh, and I just had a teen scavenger hunt party for our teens from church. They had a blast and I can give some good idea for that if anyone wants them. It was such a hit that the parents have asked to have an adult one!
